N’Golo Kante insists he has no desire to leave Chelsea amid speculation Paris Saint-Germain could move for him in the summer.
N’golo Kante joined Chelsea from Leicester for £32m in July 2016 and played a major role as the Blues cruised to the Premier League title during his first season at the club. Chelsea have failed to recapture the same form this season and currently sit in fifth spot, five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham with eight matches remaining.
Reports in the national media have suggested PSG are keen to bring Kante to the Parc des Princes ahead of next season, with them having the potential lure of Champions League football. But Kante told the London Evening Standard:
“I am at home. It is my club, I am a Chelsea player. This is my second year at Chelsea. After what happened last season, it was a very good one for us because we got to celebrate winning the title.
“In the second season, I have got to play in the Champions League and we are going again to finish in the top four. We will fight until the end to finish in the top four and to get in a Champions League position. We also have the FA Cup to play for – it is a good competition. Last season we failed in the final. It is the only trophy we can win this season, so we have to give everything to get to the final and win it.”
