Diving In The EPL Next Season Will Lead To Suspension, As FA Approves New Rule
The English FA has announced that cases of simulations from players next season will lead to suspensions.
In its annual general meeting that held today, the governing body agreed that a panel will review footage each Monday looking for cases of simulation and any player caught will face suspension.
The FA describes the act/offence as “successful deception of a match official”.
Only incidents resulting in a player winning a penalty or leading to an opponent being sent off through either a direct red card or two yellow cards will be punished.
The panel to review the footage every monday will include; one former match official, one ex-manager and one ex-player.
