[DOWNLOAD HIGHLIGHTS] Bayern Munich 3 – 2 Barcelona
Neymar’s first half double proved crucial for the visitors as they saw off the challenge of Pep Guardiola’s side.
Barcelona progressed to the Champions League final on Tuesday, despite losing 3-2 to Bayern Munich in Tuesday’s second-leg.A 3-0 lead from the meeting in Camp Nou last week gave Barca the advantage heading into the clash at the Allianz Arena and, with Bayern netting three on the night, a double from Neymar proved crucial in his side progressing to the next stage.
The evening started well for the hosts as Mehdi Benatia opened the scoring early on with a header, but Neymar appeared to wipe out all hopes of a comeback when he levelled matters shortly afterwards.
The Brazilian attacker then put his side on top on the night, slotting home comfortably after Luis Suarez’s square ball.
Robert Lewandowski gave the home side new life in the second half when he made it 2-2 with a fine finish, with thomas Muller adding a third for Bayern with a superb strike from the edge of the box.
It was a positive display from the Bundesliga champions, but it was not enough to see them reach the final, as Barca’s hunt for the treble continues.
