Comedian Ali Baba Pens Open Letter to Fans
Veteran Comedian , Ali Baba has written an open letter to appreciate his core fans.
He wrote:
The engagements of my followers is one reason I am still on Instagram.
This is in spite of the fact that I delete any vulgar comments and block anyone whose communication skills are suspect.
Much as I would not judge wisdom and understanding, by age, an insight into what is said, by whom and when it is said, matters a lot when it comes to who I relate with in the social media space.
You either teach me something or learn from me.
When I go through your page, I can begin to see what you are made of and peek at your values.
If I can’t see your page and you can see mine, then there is a problem.
So pardon me when I read and delete comments that cast shades at my person or any of my followers.
You have a right to express yourself. But when you throw insults at others na delete and block straight.
Speaking about abuse on social media and the demography of his followers, the ace comedian had this to say:
“Especially if your page shows you have no respect. Look at the age demography.
What are the 13-17s doing online? Oh by the way I am impressed by the number of above 65 that are online.
Very encouraging. These are people who social media growing up was the neighborhood gossip mill.
They have upgraded. Every week I ask myself, why do I get more engagements from Accra than Ibadan?
It sudunt be. But hey data is not smiling… even if you use smile.
So thanks to all who spend that hard earned data on my page. I appreciate.
