Legal practitioner and Chocolate City President, Audu Maikori has been arrested by the Nigerian Police.

According to numerous reports, he was arrestedbecause of the tweets he posted a few months ago about attacks in Southern Kaduna that turned out to be false. His lawyer gave a statement indicating the circumstances around his arrest.

According to a report Audu was arrested in Lagos by a team of police officers attached to inspector-general monitoring and intelligence team and was immediately transferred to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
