Rapper Erigga has joined the ongoing conversation about Burna Boy’s musical greatness. According to the Warri born artiste, many Nigerian artistes were happy over Burna Boy’s Grammy loss
This comes shortly after the self-acclaimed African giant declared himself the best music act in Nigeria since Fela Social media is currently buzzing with reactions over Burna Boy’s recent tweets on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter.
The Infonerds had earlier reported the news of how the singer called himself the best thing after Fela Kuti. Burna Boy who also claimed he is the one responsible for the respect Nigerians currently enjoy, got a lot of people talking on the platform.
While many blasted him for being proud and boastful, some remained in his corner. Responding to the backlash the singer was getting, Warri born rapper Erigga, took to the platform to state that many Nigerian artistes were very happy when Burna Boy failed to take home the Grammy awards.
One-time Grammy nominee Burna Boy brags about being the best since late Fela Kuti, says no one paved the way for him.

However, while many people agreed with his tweet, there were some who accused him of being a bootlicker. Meanwhile, popular Nigerian filmmaker Yomi Black has put media personality Emma Ugolee and singer Paschal Uche Ejikeme, professionally known as Etcetera, on blast for making comments about tribalism in the music industry.
In a recent statement, the media personality noted that the music industry used to be filled with singers from different parts of the country. Although he said he was not trying to claim tribalism, he added that now the popular singers are from the southwest.
This sparked a debate on social media. Is Burna Boy Nigeria’s biggest artist at the moment?
