Health Minister Confirms Death Caused By LASSA Fever Is 47 Till Date

Disregarding reports that claim that over 80 persons have died from Lassa fever in Nigeria, health minister, Prof. Isaac Adewole insists that the nationwide Lassa fever death toll till date is 47.

This was stated during the brief of the 2015 budget performance at the national assembly. He further stated that he has instructed that all passengers entering Nigeria via airports be screened for Lassa fever and Zika virus.
