Nigeria Navy seize 25 ships in 7 months
The Eastern Naval Command (ENC) of the Nigerian Navy has disclosed that for the past seven months, the command has arrested 25 ships conveying adulterated crude oil and other stolen products along the Calabar-Oron waterways,
He said: “In the last seven months, we have arrested a total of 25 ships, include tug boats, Cotonou boats and a good number of oil thieves. The Command also destroyed many illegal refineries on a daily basis.”
Recalling some of his challenges and successes, he said the destruction of the vessels were done in line with the Nigerian Navy’s mandate, which include clampdown on crude oil theft and illegal refineries.
