Barack Obama is the definitely the kind of president you call “Cool” as he was filmed vibing to some hip hop songs at The White House BET Party
Barack Obama was reportedly dabbing with Usher at some point.
Judging by his playlists, we know that Barack Obama has pretty good taste in music for a president, and he lived up to his reputation at BET’s “Love and Happiness” event, hosted Friday night on the White House’s south lawn. The concert hosted performances from Jill Scott, Usher, the Roots, Janelle Monáe, De La Soul, and more, but the true highlight came when Barack joined his guests on the dancefloor. A clip filmed by Usher has made the internet rounds today, showing Barack letting loose and dancing to Drake’s “Hotline Bling” among a crowd that includes Janelle Monáe and other performers. Pitchfork notes that comedian attendee James Poyser caught Barack dabbing with Usher at one point in the night, though unfortunately we’ve yet to see video evidence. Obama also had a zinger during his official speech at the event, joking, “There will be no twerking tonight. At least not by me. I don’t know about Usher.”
