Chelsea Agrees Deal For Current Italy Manager Conte To Become Next Manager
Chelsea search for a permanent manager might have ended with the report that Italy manager Antonio Conte has agreed ‘a deal in principle’ to become their new coach.
Chelsea have been in search of a new coach since the sack of Jose Mourinho in December.
Guus Hiddink was called in to take rims as coach but his appointment is temporary and he is expected to leave in the summer.
According to Italian newspaper, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Conte whose contract with Italy expires at the end of Euro 2016 wants to return to club management in the summer.
The report states that Chelsea and the 46-year-old have agreed a deal and they are waiting on owner Roman Abramovich to make the final decision.
