My Contract is not Important – Zinedine Zidane
Zinedine Zidane has said that his contract doesn’t mean anything after his side played a 2-2 draw with second-tier Numancia in the Copa del Rey.
Madrid went through 5-2 on aggregate thanks to a fine 3-0 in the first leg, after Guillermo canceled out Vazquez brace with his own.
This draw comes on the back of one against Fuenlabrada, and Madrid being 16 points behind and losing to Barcelona, Zidane admits he does not have strong footing.
“I just go game to game, year to year,” said Zidane, who agreed a new Madrid deal in September.
“I cannot think two or three years down the line, as I know how it is here, even having a contract, which means nothing.
“It is not easy for the players who play less. We played a good game. We maybe lacked a bit of gas at the end.”
