Newly Promoted Nigerian Premier League Side Promises To Emulate Leicester City
Newly promoted Nigeria Premier League side, Mountain of Fire Ministries (MFM FC) have promised to emulate Leicester City when the league resumes later this month.
Despite their replative status in top tier, the Olukoya-Boys left-back Julius Emiloju told Goal.com that the aim of the team is to pull off a Leicester City on the League.
Leicester City are top of the English Premier League this season after 28 games despite battling relegation last season.
“We have played quality friendly matches to toughen us for our debut campaign in the elite division. Hopefully, the warm up games should put us in the right frame of mind when the season eventually gets underway,” Emiloju told Goal.
“A lot of people have written us off but like Leicester City Football Club of England we want to make names for ourselves. Anyone that underrates MFM FC does that at his own peril,” he added.
The defender also thanked the club’s administration and management for the role it played in helping the club to the top division for the first time in its history.
