Chelsea is confident of beating Manchester United in the race to sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, according to the Daily Mirror.

The report suggests new Blues boss Antonio Conte wants the Belgium international to join his Stamford Bridge revolution, but he faces competition from United.

Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also thought to be monitoring the 23-year-old’s situation.

Lukaku left Chelsea for Everton in 2014 for £28m after United’s manager-elect decided against keeping him when he was in charge at Stamford Bridge.
