The Spice Girls on Monday, November 5, announced their first tour for a decade, with details that will see them tour UK – play in Wembley Stadium, other Britain’s biggest venue, but all without Victoria Beckham.
Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Melanie Chisholm revealed details of the reunion tour in a video on social media yesterday.
The 1990s pop phenomenon will take the stage in six British cities in June next year.
The girl group will kick off the tour at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on 1 June 2019, with tickets for all dates going on sale on Saturday at 10.30 GMT.
The foursome will also perform in Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh and Bristol, finishing at London’s Wembley Stadium. They will be supported by Jess Glynne.
In the video, the four remaining members staged a mock news broadcast to confirm the tour, featuring them starting to sing one of their old songs.
Beckham, now a respected fashion designer, then also took to social media, posting a photo of the foursome alongside a statement.
“I won’t be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour,” she wrote on Instagram.
The Spice Girls have sold 85 million albums worldwide.
